DE VS Multi-Track

I've always felt like a pass is a pass, a DE WTG stoke, for example, cropping the hair as short as a Trac II WTG stroke would.

Lately I've been using razors at my gym - 2-track Personnas - and I'm beginning to feel two blades shave closer per pass than one (in a DE).

This is very unsettling news to me! :)

I don't yet believe in the pull-hack theory associated with multis, as I don't feel a pull and what's more just don't see how it's possible - but I am beginning to think that maybe a two-track razor cuts closer per pass than a single blade disposable or DE...

    What do you guys think?

I have been using a 1940s Injector lately, and it removes a lot of whiskers in a single pass.So does a Muhle R89 with any decent blade or a Micromatic with a Pella. I occasionally use a Trac 2,and I definately don't think it gets closer with one pass.YMMV.:D

Problem for me with the multi carts was they gave me horrible ingrown hairs on a weekly basis. Since switching to DEs and SEs 3 months ago, I have not gotten one.

You know what: I was mistaken.

    Different lighting, new mirror.

What's more, I genuinely believe a DE shave lasts longer than a cartridge-based one.

I am very pleased to report this!

I have nothing wrong with the shaves cartridge razors give. I just despise the irritation I get around my neck. I look like a moron with razor burn on my face for the first half of the day. My beard does not accomodate cartridge blades very well. The only disposable that was good to me was the Bic sensitive b/c it had only one blade. My DE shaves are much better with never any type of razor burn. Yes a few weepers but they are easy to take care of. The days of slathering on balms to soothe razor burn is over:)
