This is one I did a ton of work on... I buffed out the blade using 80-600 grease-less compounds then finished polishing with the buffer... It took quite a bit of work to get out the slight pitting and to take the finish to near mirror... The front of the blade needed to be evened up also, then I made custom acrylic scales for it.... The wedge is solid black, I used all brass hardware, and the "Red Lava" acyclic for the scales.... I'll get this one on the hones tonight, and test shave this 8/8 shorty in the morning..... So hopefully she will be going home to her owner tomorrow....

What type of scales would normally be found on those? I saw a short bladed W&B with some broken full sized black scales. I assumed that somebody reground the blade after part of the tip broken off. It never came to me that it may have come that way.
