I've known for a while that the scene from Star Wars where Luke blows up the death star was very similar to the final scene from the old film 633 squadron. Both films involve fighters flying along a narrow canyon trying to precisely bomb a small target. AA batteries fire at them and enemy fighters attack from above. I've found this clip which shows the film 633 squadron but with the sound from Star Wars. I think its really well done and just wanted to share it with anyone who was interested. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OZq-tlJTrU
honestly, I am not familiar with that movie. However, the clip looked like they were certainly very much in sync.
I remember "Dambusters" for it's cheesy special effects, but the combination with the Star Wars soundtrack was hilarious. :happy102 Thanks for sharing.
I don't know...it was pretty clearly edited to fit, wouldn't pretty much any movie featuring fighter pilots getting read to attack a major target have similar ideas--i.e. briefing, approach to the target under heavy fire, and the hit?
