Result: Nice shave today, although I must admit that the Erasmic stick isn't one of my favorites - although I really love the scent I don't find the lather as nice as some of the others. Still a great shave, though. A sample of the Trumper's Wild Fern AS - wow! What a burn! I could sense the alcohol in it as I was bringing my hands close to my face. Very warming. At first I didn't like the scent very much - I was expecting more of a fougere scent like the Erasmic. But it settled nicely and now I'm really enjoying the occasional whif I get. I think it would work very nicely with the Irisch Moos Shave Stick. :happy088

 

LOL, all plat-chrome blades work the same on me. I pick which I like most based on price and longevity.

I have a new favorite soap now--this Irisch Moos stick is unbelievable. It gives so much lather, and the scent is to die for, and it leaves my skin feeling great. The Fix Egoiste balm also smells nice and light, and it doesn't interfere with a cologne or edt, and it's very soothing. I love the Black Garter cologne--it seems to have a traditional barbershop scent.

It's been a while since using a Feather blade..........whew, what a kick! As good as the Iridium and SharpEdge blades are(both excellent), the Feather is actually a bit smoother.

Good technique is recommended, since they aren't the most forgiving blade. They also aren't right for me in all razors, such as very aggressive ones. However, these are just amazing in my fatboy.

A very fun shave this morning..........very close and extremely comfortable experience.

Day two of Indian shave cream week and I am thinking about moving to India just to have easier access to purchasing these creams. I am very impressed. First the Godrej and now the Dettol. This is the Cool mentholated version of the creams they make. I have not used the regular Fresh Scent lathering cream yet but I do have it. Perhaps next week. The Dettol Cool lathered up without any problems whatsoever. It has a nice scent and the cooling is icy refreshing. Not as cooling as Ingram or Proraso but falls in line with the Godrej Menthol Mist. I had the Slim set at 2 for most of the shave but dialed it up to 5 for the second pass on my face. I'm still getting used to using adjustable models so I'm trying to take things very slowly. The results were typical for me. A very smooth finish. Not BBS but passable and comfortable and that is all I ever aim for. The Skin Bracer Green matched up well and provided an extra menthol kick after a cold water rinse. Another great shave provided by an Indian cream.

Very nice results from the boar/citrus ss...decided after buzzing my head to go for the complete head shave but used the retired Mach 3 for that. Nonetheless it felt great lathering my head and I ended up with the classic look and feel. Next time I'll use the DE.

  Result: DFS to BBS today. The Pella was shot. I did not expect it to be gone this soon. Usually the blade would go away at about shave 8 or 9. Well, the next one will most likely last very well into shave 7. The Tabac, well what can I say. One of my top 3 scents. Makes great lather as well.

Blade dulled after maybe its fifth or sixth run so I threw it out in the middle of the shave and went disposable - Derby 1-blade, akin to BIC.
