BUY THEM! The TTO is a Gillette #58 which is a highly desirable razor. The lazy door could simply be a slightly bent side plate which is very easy to fix on English Gillette's.

  9. i got them today , i will do some elbow grease on the #58
how do i fix the lazy door? i am hoping that its just dirt.

It could be soap scum that may clean off, if not I'll walk you through the repair process. Good job Willy! The #58 is one of my favorite Gillette's and they are not seen very often.

  11. Thanks allot Chris for all your help , i have boiled it in water for about an Hour , its still lazy i am going to clean it with " Mr Muscle All Purpose Bathroom Cleaner" later on tonight after my squash game. i really hope its just soap scum.

Here's my lazy door repair kit.

A block of wood, a 3/8" socket extension, a tape covered piece of cardboard and a hammer.

looking from underneath you should be able to see where things are binding up, most side plates will be bent in from being dropped.

If this is the case you can take the socket extension and gently tap it out.

If it is bent out you can take the cardboard and place it over the side plate and, again, gently tap it back to spec. or take the other end and tap it back.

The side plates are soft copper so it will take surprisingly little force to get it back to working order.

  13. Thank you very much, just had a look at it , but can seem to see that it is bend hope its nothing to serious i hope its just soap scum

Good razors you got there Willy! They will clean up and fix up well. Those English Gillettes are highly reguarded.

Chris- Great of you to post the pics and help him out with the TTO silo door. Things like that are what makes TSD a place to be! :happy096:signs154
