Hi everybody. I've been visiting TSD for some time now and decided it's time to join. I've been a wet shaver, off and on, for some time. My first shave was with a Schick cartridge in the early '50's when I was in high school. I've gone through periods where I used electrics, multi blade cartridges and a period where I didn't shave at all. I currently only use Gillette vintage razors with about 10 in my rotation that range from an Old Type and extend into TTO's. My favorite is a '34-'40 Aristocrat open comb. Since I retired 5 years ago I spend a lot of time collecting things from old cameras to old razors. I only collect Gillette DE's. My oldest is a 1906 single ring in a Script case. The newest a 1972 black handle Super Speed. My latest buy was the 1954 Z3 TV special in it's blue case. That was the hardest Super Speed to find. I enjoy anything involving Gillette razors from collecting them to shaving with them to discussing them. Thanks for staying with my ramblings. Len

Hi Chris. Thanks. You know you are a very famous person to my computer. Your post on Super Speed evolution has been sitting on my desktop for months. It, along with Guido's, have been my guide to my own Super Speed collection which now numbers 23 razors in their proper cases. So thanks. Len
