I'd have to go with Supertroopers or Top Secret.

!992 Bethoven, the St. Bernard in the movie was the best. I was laughing so hard my sides were hurting!:happy102

  3. Hiya,

A Fish Called Wanda was pretty darn funny...some great roles in that movie.

Another good one is probably something most of you haven't heard of. It's called 'Where's Papa', and that flick has some really cute scenes included.

Maybe a couple of you will like the trailer link below. Oh, this was directed by Carl Reiner, if that means anything to some of you.

    The Big Lebowski...

That movie is darned near perfect in every way. I love pretty much everything the Coen brothers have done, but the Big Lebowski is unbelievably good.

Man, I could watch it every day.

I agree, The Big Lebowski is awesome....

I also love Super Troopers, and Beerfest!

Probably hands down my all time favorite: Better Off Dead

Maybe not the funniest out there, but it's one of my favs....

Obviously funny movies are a saturated market, I'm surprised movies like "Old School" or "Something About Mary" (How'd you get the beans above the frank!? :happy102) have not come up as well. Some of my other favorites: Joe Dirt, Happy Gilmore, Anger Management, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Van Wilder, The Holy Grail, Stripes and of course in the stupid funny category Borat.

I can't pick a #1, but Bringing Up Baby with Cary Grant & Kate Hepburn excels at both comedy and romance. Also, the Marx Brother's in Horse Feathers or A Day at the Races have really good scenes. Brazil by Terry Gilliam was also a sophisticated comedy of high merit. I like broader, in-your-face comedies too (like Airplane), but thoughtful comedies are my faves.

If you search Hugh Laurie (House, MD), he did a few British skits that were quite funny. If you like British humor, that is. Some don't.

I can't stand, Ace Ventura, Airplane, Naked Gun, Dumb and Dumber or anything featuring that kind of humour. I just don't find it funny. Its too unatural somehow.
I will try and find a clip from a film that I did think was funny.

While Forrest Gump was indeed a very funny movie, I myself would put that in its own category Forrest Gump IMHO is one of the top 5 movies ever made. Brilliant writing, a great story (although quite different from the book) and just an exemplary creative effort.

    Blackadder anyone?

While crude I have always liked Slap Shot.
