Having just MAAS'd it, I had to use the below-depicted open-comb, German and without a brand name, which ranks easily among the most gorgeous razors I've seen.

Unfortunately, it's exceedingly mild, demanding a lot of work from the shaver to get smooth face.

Clubman Rob is the unequivocal authority when it comes to splashes and old-time fragrances, but T&H's Clubman is not so close a match to Pinaud's splash as he made it out to be

To Rob's credit, though, Canoe smells very close to that splash - and it's cheap juice.

The soap I tried today was picked up in Brisbane last week. It was pretty ordinary, the scent seemed absent , instead it smelled like animal fat. It was hard to lather and alround pretty disappointing, although for 10 bucks it was worth a try,

Strangely enough, there seems to be more menthol in this version of Top Ten than in the menthol version. Both smell great, although in different ways, and have the same terrific lather and skincare.
