    Wash: Mysore Sandal
    Razor: Merkur L-H
    Blade: ASCO Red
    Stick: Tabac
    Cream: Tabac
    Brush: C&E Pure
    Splash: Mennen Blue
    Finish: AOS Sandalwood.

    ...

AOS' Sandalwood (sample) is horrid: zero potency. GFT's stomps it.

Tabac on Tabac's a sex attack.

  15. After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    vintage Rooney badger
    vintage Dovo slant/Iridium
    DR Harris Marlborough SS
    Lucky Tiger AS
    Penhaligons 'Love Potion#9' EdT

Brush worked pretty well, and should get better as it goes along. Just a tad scritchier than my Shavemac silvertip so far, but it whipped up a nice lather with no problem. I'm glad I picked this up.

First time ever using a slant this morning and it was interesting. Having read over the years about how aggressive these types can be, I was a little cautious. I didn't feel like pushing the envelope too far, so I took it easy and didn't try too much fancy stuff. I figured the Iridium would be a good blade to start with, and it turned out fine.

Now I'm sure my opinion of this razor will change after more shaves, but even after using this type only once I already have been surprised. So far, using a slant is like shaving with any other DE. Yeah, I just used the razor as I would a fatboy or Tech or many others, and that was it!

The only way I adjusted my regular technique was to not bear down at all, and to not do any slides and only minimal j hooking. Buffing wasn't a problem, which was nice to find. Yeah, it was a pretty darn easy shave today, as it turned out.

I didn't get quite as close a shave as usual, but that's because I was just sorta testing things out. I'm gonna try this a bunch more and see where it ends up. It feels a little more aggressive than I like, but not bad at all. One tiny weeper on my chin that stopped with a cold water splash.

Heh, I have to say the slant does look weird, but so far so good.

    Mostly BBS results,

    Martin

    CREW CUT.

    Wash: Porto Roza
    Razor: Merkur Long
    Blade: Nacet Stainless
    Cream: Taylor's Rose
    Brush: Omega 10077
    Splash: Harris Pink
    Finish: Agua Brava.

    ...

Decided to try a crew cut.

Had my GF buzz & outline the cut with a surprisingly robust Wahl beard trimmer, then I razored the rest.

Not sure if I like the look, as I think it's pretty trashy and has a UFC vibe to it.

    What do you guys think?

What an EdT AB is. Now I know why so many people love it!
