Hi there, I'm new here, actually I've been lurking in the bushes a while. I was amazed to find a forum dedicated to shaving. At first it sounded as exciting as a teeth brushing forum, but I actually found the subject interesting to read about. You guys really take this seriously. I found this forum while searching for some info on older straight razors. I've shaved with a variety of razor types over the last 40 years and switch every so often. Although, for about 25 years I had a mustache, I've never liked beards and thought that most who grow them are just lazy. I also hate the idea that 6 days of facial growth is attractive. These days I usually shave with cheapo store brand, single blade, disposable razors and they seem to work fine for me. I use just plain old bar soap for shaving, lathered with a really good badger brush I bought unused at a flea market for $5. I like the single blade disposables as I find the multiple blade razors always clog between the blades and you can't clean it out. I don't know how much I'll be able to contribute here, I'm known to make comments about just about everything on other forums, but I'll try to behave.
