Fellow Members would like to share this ,some of my favorite shavers are the Gillette Regent & Sheraton models. I recently sold a newly gold plated Sheraton and missed it so much that I turned around and had my standby Regent sterling silver plated and this is the result. Now it is said with a fresh plating the razor glides over your face so will be trying this baby out with a fresh Feather Blade shortly ,,,,
I know some people appreciate these re plates, but if you are going to make a business off of replating vintage razors you really should mark them somehow. A stamped symbol under head or in the blade tray would help future collectors avoid these and would be the right and ethical thing to do. These razors are built to last and these alterations could be confusing and disappointing people 50 years from now. We've been down this road before. http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9543&highlight=replate
