So, it's like the same things as this... http://www.deodorantstones.com/

If so, you just saved me a bunch of money.

And, GNC has a travel size deodorant stone for less than $3, I think.

Rick, try it on a weekend you know noone is going to smell you... I mean, if it doesn't work as deodorant then you don't want to be at work with your "natural scent" all over you hehe.

Just be sure you have no problem with the smell, so you don't end like me and my new astringent lotion >:O
I'm not sure if Alum Bar has a smell TBH, it is sold here only as a powder inside small envelopes. But just in case be sure you're comfortable with what you're going to rub in your face.

... I can barely have my dinner after smelling this new astringent lotion u_u...

    That's great stuff!!

I have bought it somewhere last year and used it for almost a year until it wore out. Both on the armpits and the face.

And the price is very good for the stuff you get!

Witch Hazel will grow on you after a while. I never found the smell totally offensive but I must admit at first it was a bit unusual (new swim fins or tires). The good part is, it doesn't have much linger time at all and the effect on your skin is fantastic. Occassionally, I'll skip the WH and go straight to the Corn Huskers Lotion.

Can I use witch hazel and a shaving balm or will it cancel out the WH?

most people so a combination of the following:

    WWR (warm water rinse)
CWR (cold) some prefer to do this after the astringent
    astringent (wh,alum)
    disinfectant(after shave)
    moisturizer(balm/lotion)
    cologne

to answer your question, not really cancel out more like overlap (but that can be a good thing).

Some after shaves have WH in them, some after shaves have moisturizer, some balms have WH or alcohol, some people make thier own stuff. Look at the ingredients experiment and finds what products and order works best for you.

Thanks I just see a lot of people saying sometimes I use A sometimes I use B. I just wanted to make sure im not gonna burn a whole in my skin by mixing all this.

Not burn a hole but you can either dry out your face(usually too much astringent or aftershave) or leave it greasy or shiny looking(usually too much balm or post shave oil) which is why some people leave out an item.

Nah, you should be good, some days I use WH, Corn Huskers Lotion, AS splash and cologne. Not greasy or shiny, no holes in my face.

How does the mix of scents work for you.
I ask that because I saw a Brut and an Old Spice aftershave, I wanted both to use on different occasions but then I thought "my disgusting astringent + aftershave + balm... humm o, I don't think it's a good idea"

I wanna try them (specially the Brut) but I don't want to make a mess of odors on my face :p
