I used to do this prior to switching to a brush. Now...I just don't think it's doable unless I stop the water but then I'd need to run the water to clean the blade....and that would risk washing off the rest of the lather. I guess I just have to wake up a bit earlier. :)

Most alarm clocks are fully adjustable so that you can correct your wake up time to permit a proper shave... so I have been told anyway.

Not doable. At least IMHO, at least I won't try it with my SE.

For me, a no-no. I cannot see well enough to shave like that.

I was able to shave in the shower when I was using a cartridge razor and canned foam, but I was only doing one pass then. I wouldn't even think about it now with a DE and brush with three passes.

For me that's unthinkable because I use exclusively straight razors and using them in the shower is an accident waiting to happen, sooner or later, the razor will fall of your hands and chop some part of your body. :sick007

    Um...thanks for the image.

Yeah, so it's not likely I'll be shaving in the shower anymore which is fine. I was just wondering if anyone does.

By the way, when you take multiple passes with a DE (I'm still using my fusion cartridge until I figure out which razor to get) do you re-lather between each pass? I'm assuming 1 pass with with the grain and another across and another is against...

Yes, re-lather between passes. Never shave where there isn't lather. No matter what razor you are using.

As for shaving in the shower. Yes, I do. I would think it would be easier for men to shave in the shower than women, as it is much easier to get your face out of the shower spray than your legs and other parts. I've used DEs and straights in the shower, with no trouble.

Yep, you want to re-lather between passes. Some folks will do a warm water rinse between each pass and some folks skip that part, personally I always rinse between passes.

Your planned passes sound good if your face can handle it. Many new wetshavers will just go with the grain for a while before changing directions, and in the end some can not go against the grain at all, it will all depend on what your skin can tolerate. You will figure it out by the comfort level of the shave. Remember its best to get a comfortable shave when starting out rather than a close shave. Get your technique down and the close shaves will come.
