It's strange to me the theme of the razor: "medallon taurino" means "bullfighting medallion"....and the name "estocada" means "thrust with sword" ....But I don't like the spanish bullfighting, the "corrida"... But I like this razor, I think that I have found a little treasure for my shave den

That razor is sweet! The scales are particularly mesmerizing.

    Great work, Klaus!

The scales are made from plastic :( , not as fine as the blade, goodlooking but when I take the razor it has the feel of plastic, not horn nor wood....but they do their job, they keep the blade save

I can appreciate a pair of plastic scales just as much as wood or bone. My Red Imp had plastic scales. Wouldn't have appealed to me as much in any other scales, I think. I sold her. Why did I sell her? :( Pics.

If I may ask how much does a restoration typically run? such as this one

I apologize for my previous post, I just read another thread that it is considered bad taste to talk about that. Sorry, but great work! And I hope you enjoy that fine piece of quality craftsmanship.

It's no secret - my normal prices for honing can be found via the link in my signature! The price for a restoration depends on what has to be done so it varies from razor to razor. I don't wanna get rich restoring razors so I only charge a fee that covers the materials used and a small bit for my time (of which I have little right now). A restoration like that one done here costs about 20€ - including shipping back via registered mail.
