No matter where your politics are on this, please take a moment today to say a prayer for the folks lost 8 years ago today. Their families and indeed the world have never been the same since. Also take a minute to pray for the safe return of the young men and women of the military (U.S. and Allied) that continue to fight for justice even today.
I'm doing the same thing I did 8 years ago. That is I'll be working with extra dillagence, loving with extra fervor, and doing whatever I see to show that at least I will fight against what the terrorists want to do to us. I won't forget we're still in a war, declared by the other side, wether we like it or not.
War is terror too. I'm not a religious person, but if only people did unto others as they would have others done unto them, we would live in harmony. Violence and aggression only generate victims - even in justified retaliation. I'll be thinking in the people that were just minding their own business, like we do everyday, and because of a few maniacs, lost their lives.
Thank You All ......Past Present and Future. For what you all gave us we can never repay the debt. So please accept an old mans prayers and gratitude for his children and himself.
I was in Florida visiting my parents, when I heard about the attack, and I was in a rage. :angry021 I was also very worried, because I have many relatives in NYC, but thank goodness, nothing happened to them.
I was in the Air Force at the time. Everyone in the unit knew that it wouldn't be long before we got the call to go GET SOME. It didn't take long either, just a few months later we were deployed and raining good ole American hate during Operation Anaconda. Ah those were the days.
