So, I made a lowball bid at the last second on a lot on ebay. It totally flew under the radar, and mine was the only bid. The picture was horrible, but I felt like buying something.

Turned out to contain MINT 1941 Ranger Tech. Complete with the original tan and brown case and Gillette blue blades.

So, what was your best ebay surprise?

Fingers crossed here, but hopefully the Robert Klaas straight I got for under $10 turns out to be a good shaver.

The two crap razors I got for very little money that turned out to have ebony scales :D

I haven't managed to get anything that nice; however, I have taken the chance on a few fuzzy and blurry pics to get a good deal on an aristocrat, an open comb 1912 gem, and a new improved tuck-a-way (three separate auctions)

Quite a while ago, I bid on a heavily tarnished single ring set in a metal case from some pretty dark pictures and won it for $25. It cleaned up to like-new condition.

So just for the record, the Robert Klaas I got is stamped Prussia, in pretty good condition, and I am getting it professionally honed.

For under $10 thats a sweet find :D

A Wade & Butcher 5/8 wedge in the original unopened package. Thought it might be junk but had to take a chance. 130 or so dollars later and I was looking at a mint condition, shaving right out of the box Wade and Butcher wedge:D Also my Robert Klaas Made in Prussia 6/8 hollow looked pretty rusty but it turned out to be dried grease on the blade. underneath was a near mint blade with no signs of honing...one of my best shavers!!

I managed to Bidnip a 1960 Fatboy a while back for $9.99 and it turned out to be a 59 E in almost perfect condition. The seller had the razor listed in the wrong category. It's now my Sunday shaver.

Cased, near mint 1912 Ever-Ready for 0.99 Euros.
And I have a couple of other of razors on their way that might turn out to be something interesting...
