Currently I'm using the Tabac deo spray but I guess I'll go back to the irisch moos stick after I'm through with that one. It's good, but the IM stick lasts longer.
I have never been able to use an anti-perspirant they all seem to aggravate my skin. I usually use Tom's of Maine Woodspice or one of the Old Spice varieties.
Right now im using the Ogallala Bay Rum deodorant. It's paraben-free and contains a lot of good natural things for the skin. It controls the odor very well without blocking the skin pores.
I've always used an anti-perspirant--I don't like the feeling of wet armpits. For years I used this wonderful SpeedStick orange (it was the one that had the "Official anti-perspirant of the NBA" on it). They stopped making it, and I've been in limbo ever since. My skin's pretty tough, so I just tried to find a scent that I liked, and ended up with that Axe blue stuff (Thunder/Phoenix?) I'd really like a change though, so I'm going to try out some of the recommendations here. Quick query, though: Does an alum block provide anti-perspiration protection, or is just a deodorant?
I'm using the AXE Chocolate stuff they were advertising a while back. (who says ads don't work on them--not me) I was looking for something other than "the cheapest" stuff I bought every other month) I like the smell of this stuff and it isn't the powdery stuff--I won't use it.
I asked my wife to buy me some anti-perspirant whose smell she liked. No surprise, she came home with Old Spice. It's called Old Spice Ever Clear Stride. Smells nice in the stick. I'll let you know how it smells/works after a couple of days use.
Wow! a two and a half year old thread and still going strong! I love it! I found the thread because I ran a search for threads with a key word of "Brut" so somewhere in this thread someone wears Brut....and so do I. I use the Brut antiperspirant which is a rectangle, not the round which is deodorant only. I have been wearing Brut as my main scent for years, although I do use Dominican Bay Rum and Col. Conk Lime as well. I use all the Brut products which include the after shave, cologne, antiperspirant and the shave balm. The shave balm is very nice and soothing. I also just purchased a Brut scented shave soap and I can't wait to try it!
Anti-perspirants bother my skin so it's Old Spice-Fresh right now. My favorite is Old Spice-Round Stick (the original).
Another Brut guy here - antiperspirant/deodorant, ASB, AS, Splash. But since this post is about the pit stick, yes, Brut is all I use. I do use other balms and aftershaves, but only one brand of pit stick.
Mitchum Gel and Arm & Hammer Ultra Max They work great! Highly recommend for anyone with sweat issues like me.
I guess I am behind the times. I use Right Guard Gel, and an Old Spice spray. Reading the posts I did not realize that were so many better choices for my body without the chemicals. Any online sources?
Alum!!!! works better than any gilette/right gurad/old spice/mitchum crap. No stink, no stains And cheap cheap cheap
Right now, the crush remains of my last alum block dissolved in water in a spray bottle with just enough TSD Bourbon Vanilla AS to give it a light scent.
Deodorant I'm Using... Currently using good old fashioned Speedstick original green stick. I even put a few swipes on the sides of my neck for additional fragrance. Also like Speedstick Irish Spring Scent deodarant. Cannot use antiperspirant, my armpits swell and redden. Used to be long ago a variant of Speedstick with a spice scent called Speedstick Spice Scent (imagine that) that I remember fondly.
Right now it's oldspice Showtime or something weird like that. But after soccer I just spray on some axe until I get home and shower. Ps best shower soap: Johnson an Johnson baby body wash shea butter scent. Leaves my skin silky smooth lol
Deodorant Ogallala Bay Rum stick and sometimes Old Spice Fresh Scent. I like Burts Bees too, but its pretty expensive for deodorant.
