riday 10/9 Fat Handle Tech w/ Feather (4) C&E BBB Noxema sc Thayers Original WH w/ aloe Wesley & Scott Orange a/s balm 212 Edt by Herrera Dug out the tube of Noxema which I keep under a bunch of other tubes so I don't go to it too often (right next to my tube of Red Poraso) and worked up what I thought was a good lather but after the first pass it seemed a bit thin. Perhaps my brush wasn't wet enough...but I was able to get three passes anyway and the final result is still quite close to a BBS shave...it's the touch up pass that does the trick.

Ikon Tuckaway w/ Hoffritz OC head 7 O'clock Sharp Edge Knotty Badger Synthetic Erasmic Shave Stick The Shave Den Signature Splash The Shave Den Amber Lime Cedar Wood The Synthetic brush worked well. Definitely different. Taking it out of water I noticed that it is not nearly as dense as my other brushes. the bristles all clumped together, but it held much more water than I expected for a synthetic, and it held lather for 3 passes easily. I am happy with it.

Friday Shave Friday Grandpa Shave Razor: !948-’50 Superspeed Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (shave #1) Soap: Mitchell’s Wool Fat Brush: Vulfix boar A/S: Pinaud Clubman Vanilla splash The old SS gave a very comfortable, DFS shave this morning. I think I could shave in the dark during an earthquake with it without any nicks. Its reputation as a good starter razor has been well earned.
Friday Razor: Cooncat Bob Burl Handled Composite with Merkur Head Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge Brush: Shavemac 177 Pre-Shave: Kell's Original Turkish Mocha Pre-shave Soap Soap: C&E Sienna A/S: Musgo Real Classic Scent aftershave I recently acquired C & E Sienna Soap and a Shavemac 177 Silvertip brush from the B/S/T and decided to use them for this morning's shave. The Shavemac is perfect for face lathering and the C&E soap produced a nice creamy lather. The lather was not quite up to the level of MWF or Tabac but it was nice and this soap will remain in my rotation. I will call today's shave a DFS (nearly BBS) with one small nick on my jawbone (my fault). The Musgo Real provided a nice finish.
