Was wondering for the TTO, do you ever give them a quick shot of something to keep them operating properly.

I've always used a mineral oil soak, and quick wipe down.

That is what I would say. If you use WD40 or 3 in 1 oil the scent of the oil hangs around forever and a day or two.

Using a Q-tip, I let one drop of mineral oil fall into the hole in the center of the opened razor bed. Then open and close a few times to distribute to the internal mechanism.

WD-40 is excellent for displacing water and keeping it displaced and it’s excellent at penetrating. What it’s not good at is lubricating.

Use mineral oil (or baby oil) instead - I apply by dipping a narrow screwdriver into the oil and transferring the resulting oil drip to the centre pole of the razor. Only needs doing after a deep clean though.

Another vote for Mineral Oil. Get a bottle that will last forever for under $2 at stores like Target or Walmart.

Google a product called Weapon Shield. I started using it in my knives, and now I use it in all my TTO and/or adjustable razors too.
