With $ 200.00 I would get a few assortments of blades, and soaps, a Nice brush and who knows what. Being new to the entire thing the money would go quick. Chuck
I would go for a new brush, more razor blades and another razor. Oh, and maybe a scuttle to keep the soap warm.
Well, it isn't quite 'shaving goods', but the first thing I get is a shave at a Truefitt & Hill, Geo F Trumper, or other established shop to experience what the pleasure of a REAL barber straight shave feels like - not just to experience the luxury at least once in life but also to give myself a yardstick to measure against as I go throught my journey of learning to shave with a straight. Then, if any $ were left, I too would probably be keeping JoAnna busy with an order for soaps and AS milks.
Mmm, probably a Cyril Salter razor/brush holder from westcoast, when they restock. A Bk4, and if I had money left over MWF refill, and Gessato pre-shave.
I would likely pick up a nice supply of Feather blades, some Penhaligon's creams, and a high end splash. I would basically look and smell like some kind of Oscar Wilde disciple every day, minus the silly hat.
My barber's got a matched pair of 6/8ths Pumas. They're absolutely pristine. I don't know if he'd take $200 for them, but if I had the money I would surely offer. goshawk
I'm thinking a custom made matching brush/razor set. $200 probably wouldn't cover the entire cost, but it'd sure be a good down payment.

I would get into straight shaving with an entry level set of razor, strop, and hone. Anything left would go toward one of the soaps/creams that I see discussed all the time. Or maybe some skin food.
