Hi JimR I've made a few, and at this stage I'm trying to get the best out of N690 steel. It's a 'lovely steel' to work with, and its qualities are superior. K110 also crossed my path, but it still need to prove itself. What I can quote on the one guy who used Mastro Livi's N690 blade - and that is, 'Its different!' I do own a few Henckles, and one Dovo, and they all have their own personality, from a singing blade to the elegant - and the elegant being the N690. But I'll keep you posted on it! Just for a matted of interest, do you shavers have a preference on a nice blade, a nice overall look, or a nice pair of scales in your hand. The overall look and something with giraffe shinbone, buffalo horn, Oryx horn even Kudu horn or African hardwood does it for me!! Regards Jan
