    hi people...

yesterday i looked on youtube and found this guy that mixed olive oil and 4 drops of lavender oil,so i was like.... let's have a look at what does olive oil do... and i looked it up on wiki... all good things about it going on the skin, you can look it up,generaly it makes the skin younger and more beautiful looking if u rub it on your face...and that's wiki talking not me :p ...

so... i tried it but without the lavender oil coz that's just for the scent i figuered... i just got to say Amazing it proved awsome pre-shave prep and awsome lubrication the first 2 passes WTG,XTG... i did not cut myself ( i have a spot on the neck which i cut 98% of the time just below adam's apple).

but my dissapointment lies somewhere else:guys (i'm 21) this is my 4th shave with DE and i still miss a couple of patches but it'S ok the time will make me better but the 3rd pass ATG it's a dissaster i cut myself all over... on what can i blame this? the blade or the fact that i shlud first let 3 wheeks of WTG ONLY so that my skin can adapt??? please tell me coz i get frustrated and the dark site pulls me back...

now im using 3 years old ( i dunno if that matters) wilkinsons coz thats what i had in the house ( next week i'm ordering the mühle r89 and some derbys maybe a sampler pack to go with that... the body shop maca root SC ... and i dunno what to do .

do u think i should just be more patient ? my wife tells me the shave looked better with my fusion but honestly i love this ideea better and aside from the blade tugging on my face and a little blood here and there when i go ATG i love everything about the DE shave.maybe i need a new razor and blade

    thanks

    cheers. :eatdrink004

Interesting results with the oil. Whenever I've tried oil as a pre-shave I always end up with gunked up blades and only so-so results.

I'd say stay with it and be patient. Try LOTS of different razors and blades. You'll find that goldilocks razor and blade combination and the heavens will open and life will be good. Just takes patience and practice.

    1. You might consider settling with two passes. If the blade and razor combination worked for two passes then it sounds like the third is just too much for your face.

    2. Patience is important, even if you decide to go back to the Fusion. Rushing a shave leads to cuts and irritation, for me, anyway. I don't have much time to shave in the morning so I settled on a slow one pass routine. Works well for me. The point is that there's a way to make DE shaving work even if you don't have much time to shave.

    3. I doubt the bumps are from an allergy. Sounds like irritation from shaving too close with too little lubrication. Could also be ingrown hairs from shaving too close. You shouldn't panic over either. Your face will heal on its own. You might want to lay off shaving for a couple days though.
