How many times after that did you grab that razor? Kids aren't dumb. Sometimes it takes learning the hard way. Like telling a kid "It's Hot" then they touch the pot. Next time you tell them "It's hot" they listen. Oh, and I did the same damn thing at about the same age. Didn't touch another razor for 9 years! Then I spent 24 trying to figure out how to make those cartridges work right, last night first DE shave!! Gillette's been lying to me...
The safest place to leave a razor blade is in the razor. If a person gets cut that way at least it wouldn't be a deep cut. Loading and unloading the blade from the razor only creates more opportunity to cut yourself or damage the blade. come to think of it, injector razors are not designed so that the blade can be removed between shaves. There's no need to.
I have to agree with the idiot, humor is important. I've found one way to check if the blade is sharp enough. I play the guitar, and therefore have very hard skin my on my left fingers, especially the pinkey. What I do is to try to cut myself on that finger. My skin's so hard, I don't usually get cut. I simply judge the sharpness from how deep the into my skin the blade goes at a give given pressure. Works fine. Also, playing cathch with razor blades proved to a jolly activity. But one a serious note, I do not think leaving razor blades available for small children is the smartest thing. Every kid cuts themself, might as well not be on something that's not "ninja assassin sharp". -Compaq-
I keep my blade in the razor ABOVE the medicine cabinet. I didn't want to keep it in a dark, dank place like the IN the medicine cabinet. I can't leave my razor on the counter as my cat licks everything. She simply can't resist the taste/odor of my shave equipment.
