I usually purchase my products at Fendrihan, a Canaidian company located in Mississauga. http://http://www.fendrihan.com/ I pay directly on a secure page with my MasterCard. I was perusing the items in the Shaving Den Store and noticed they use PayPal. I am not familiar with PayPal, could someone give me a brief explanation of the service. Thanks Wyatt
Just go to www.paypal.com. You can get all the details you want there. It is a great way to pay for stuff on the web.
For what it's worth, I've used PayPal with no problems. Easy way to pay. And while you're at the Den's store, check out the exclusive Soap of the Quarter Club! I just used it this morning. JoAnna makes a fantastic product. It lathers easily, gives a close, comfortable shave, and smells great! CAN I GET A WITNESS?
I use paypal whenever I can online. It is kind of nice just giving your bank/credit information to one large company, and letting them take care of getting the money where you want them to get it. Convenient.
Amazed I am continually amazed at the replies I get on this site, and the wealth of information that is shared. Thanks again to everyone. I cant believe how much knowledge I have obtained since joining.
PayPal works very well and is easy to use. Check it out. While you are at, if you do online banking, check into EMT (electronic money transfer). Very similar to PP but run by the individual banks. The more you are capable of, the more vendors you can deal with, on this or any other forum.
Paypal I signed up with PayPal this morning. Thanks for the help. I ended up on eBay Was cruising around and came across DE razors...Dam. I ended up buying a Weishi Gold Plated, Matte Finish, Classic Double-Edge Razor. This stuff is addictive. This all started recently when I couldn't Find DE razors for my old Gillette at Walmart anymore. ...My wife is going to kill me Wyatt
too easy well done Wyatt. Now the money can flow smoothly and swiftly directly from your bank account straight to those rapacious purveyors of everything manly. I got the polished chrome Weishi, it's hidden away until I grow tired of the straight razor. But why did you not order yours from Fendrihan? Much safer than eBay, where there be dragons.....
The big advantage of using PayPal is... That they usually protect you from fraudulent sellers on eBay and they REFUND your $$$ if someone tricks you. That alone is worth using it, in addition to the incredible convenience of not having to enter your card info manually each time.
Funny thing I bought it on eBay then received a letter from Alfred at Fendrihan thanking me for purchasing the item. I payed $4.00 more for shipping and had to pay the exchange rate for USD, about $5.00. For an item that I could have purchased direct from Fendrihan. The Fendrihan outlet is about an hours drive from my front door. Live and learn No bad feelings though, I would deal with Fendrihan again. Maybe show my wife around eBay and she will forget about my purchases. Wyatt
Just a little warning about Paypal It's great for buying, absolutely no problem there, BUT not so great for selling - they have a "holding" policy so beware . . . if you sell and a customer pays, Paypal will check out your "selling history" to see if you have a reputation . . . if you don't, or it's slim, they'll hold whatever money your customer sends for as long as they feel like it. I recently sold something using them, and it's using a Paypal business account - they held the money that was sent to me for 21 days, and then didn't release it on the scheduled release date . . . I had to call them to find out what was going on. They released the money, but acted like I'd done something wrong by not keeping tabs on the tracking numbers of the items I'd mailed to the buyer, even though I had the receipt from the post office of the items in question and the buyer never complained of not receiving the product. Then they sent me a slew of emails on how to "properly" use Paypal to sell . . . total b.s. Google this issue and you'll see a ton of other people complaining of the same problem. Just a heads up.
I do admit paypal is an easier way to pay for items..but if its a seller dispute who doesnt wanna budge on your refund..paypal doesnt get involved because there is no real contract except for Ebay transactions as they both do have a moneyback process..hope this helps!
I am a pretty big fan of paypal. It allows us to send money to each other instantly with a click of the mouse. You can transfer that money into a bank account and it only takes 2-3 days. Paypal isn't perfect, but for the amount of transactions that come though that place every day, it runs very smoothly
Same here :happy088 The majority of transactions where eBay related. But I never had any problems with the non-eBay related transactions, so I cannot comment on that.....
I have used PayPal since shortly after it's inception. I have had no problems with them and they quickly adjudicated a complaint in my favor when an eBay seller failed to ship the items I purchased. That said, I let no one have access to my bank accounts and tie my PayPal account to a credit card. This gives me greater appeal procedures through the issuing bank as well as PayPal's own. It means that I am not "Verified" (you have to be linked to a bank account or a PayPal credit card) but it has never been a problem in making or receiving payments.
