Had to give these commercials their own thread I only saw them for the first time tonight and my son and I both nearly pissed ourselves laughing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5nyEd8BTZA&feature=channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u68UUoVzYU&feature=channelhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx-VH_4nO4o&feature=channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRWhhI6dyAk&feature=channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6vzQCdzHPo&feature=channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_fKxVBMR60&feature=channel
These were made by a production company in Minneapolis. My fiancé's friend works for them and owns the cat who was in the first video. The cats name is Mabel and she is 18. I watched the superbowl at their house and she kept trying to get us to tune into the puppy bowl to watch for her commercial.
So Nick, you obviously have celebrity ties and probably have a huge inheritence coming when Mabel bogarts her last parking spot Shave gear for all your friends at TSD, right? Aside from being pretty darned funny, these are very well done ads (your fiance's friend's company does real fine work.) I'm curious as to how they made the commercials. I mean what technical or camera magic was at work that made it look so real?
Yeah, the company does a lot of fun commercials. Drive Thru's Reel. I've been an extra in a couple of the local ads. It's fun to do once or twice, but takes more time than the money is worth. I have no idea how they faked the dog driving. I bet it was a pretty low tech solution. I'm pledging any inheritance to go directly to the Shave Den Store.
