Well back in the 70's I worked at Bell Laboratory and the Internet was in its infancy. I needed a user name. I was reading a Edgar Allen Poe book, I believe the Raven and Goldbug was mentioned in the story. Well the Volkswagen Beetle was a popular car at the time and I was driving a gold Honda Civic. With my scientific background AU is the Periodic symbol for gold and while I could not exactly call my car a beetle bug was ok to fit in with the Edgar Allen Poe story so my aubug user name was was born.
I picked up sparky from when I first started playing with electronics. I was very young, and my learning rarely worked out well. On many an occasion the magic smoke escaped from my project. Thankfully, I managed to learn from my mistakes. 5693 came about because there's a ton of sparky's out there. I got frustrated and palmed the numpad.
Born Southern and have lived in the south all of my life. Scribbler because I have dabbled in writing stories and a novel (never published due to the genre, erotica) and contemplating authoring a book about the life and times of being a garbageman for 25 years (retired).
+1 ok, fine, not really. Mine is from back in the day when I was pestering the B&B mods for a custom title. A friend suggested Queen of Blades. The mods gave me some other custom title eventually, but I liked QOB so much I had my username changed to it, and have used it since.

It means absolutely nothing. I thought it was spelled this way to mean something. Been using it for years and then found out i totally spelled it wrong and the meaning i wanted was useless. Since then i just kept using it.
So i was reading the post and thought id throw in my name basil is short for my real name.. Basilios.. which was my grandfathers name...which in english would be Bill *Also walking into bears is way not fun as mentioned in the start of this post...I walked into a mother black bear with 2 cubs last year as i was working as a camp counselor.....Imagine how fun that was in the middle of the night with no flashlight trying to go to the bathroom and seeing that not even 10 feet from you!
