A little bit of column A, a little bit of column B...

I have to shave my head in the shower. The generalized disaster that would result if I tried to splash all the shave soap off my head afterward makes me shudder in horror, especially because I'm 6'4" and my sink comes about to my belly button. That's a long way from the tap to the top of my dome :happy102

Likewise, I cannot shave my face in the shower. I tried once, and I had to completely redo it once I got out. It was awful. Even before wet shaving, I could not do it.

Some of us have similar qualms about showershaving... at least at the sink the only things that will get damaged are the sink and razor, and they are replaceable by the application of cash - things you may damage in the shower or bath tend to require a trip to a reconstructive surgeon and will never be the same again.

Definitely sink for me. I shave with a straight razor and can't imagine shaving in the shower -- what if I were to accidentally drop the razor?:D

Sink for me as well though I've always wanted to install a mirror in the shower and go at it (that's what she said)

    +1

Also, it's a question of temperature. I wouldn't want to bathe in water as hot as what I like to shave in.

    Best Regards

I have decided I like to shave in the shower more then the sink.
Smoother shave, less cuts, I can rinse with hot water between shaves, rinse with freezing cold when done, but I use more water. Since I only shave twice a week(most weeks, sometimes only once) it isn't too bad.
The problem I have is my shave cream. I can't keep it hot, I think it is time for a scuttle or a two bowl system.
I might try a second bowl this sunday, heat some water in the microwave, and go at it. We'll see.

Still shaving in the shower with a Mach3....

/me puts on flame suit. :whacky024

I am currently in the 'saving up' process for a decent straight razor setup, once I have that I don't intend on shaving in the shower, but it will be a change.

Up till now I have shaved in the shower for about 20 years + or - and honestly am looking forward to the change.

Not shaved in the shower since I changed for a quatro titanium and tinned foam. I tried lathering in the shower once but the control of the amount of water was too poor.

Always the sink for me. I just make sure to give my razor a quick shake (one) to get off excess water after rinsing to avoid lather running down my neck.

Shower for me. Just works better and no mess to clean up at the sink.:D

It has always been the sink for me. I can't imagine shaving in the shower... that is strictly for women shaving their legs.

    Sink or what?

Neither one, I shave out of a little bowl with hot water poured in it from a teakettle with my lather in an ole english shaving mug sitting on the soafa with my tools on a little table in front of me and watching the news on TV. I don't need a mirror to shave and the tv is more pleasant to look at than my mug so it is actually enjoyable. BC

    Sink

Sink for me but only because I've got a 13 year old that uses all the hot water!

Only at the sink. Or I'll spend all the water in the tank while shaving :) Besides, got no mirror in the shower, and even if I did, it's size would be much smaller than the one I have above the sink.

Sink, otherwise the wife would end up taking a cold shower, which would not make her happy.
