I really like Quorum, don't know if you guys get in the states. If you do have you used it? I have never smelt bay rum (hope to soon). I wondered if they smelt similar at all? My nose is untrained but I do like spicy woody notes, at least thats what I think I can smell in Quorum. Is there and other nice spicy woody aftershaves. Quorum has witch hazel in too, could I just add that to other splashes? Thanks in advance :happy005

Not alike, IMHO... I have Quorum, and, hmm, four different bay rums (Ogallala, Pinaud, Aubrey Organics, and my fav, Bigelow). I'm going with definitely not alike. I like them both, though the Bay Rums could go office-wear daily-use, while Quorum only sees occasional use. As you probably know, Quorum is a projection and longevity monster, so I usually only hit it on the weekend when I'll be, say, outside a lot, or not terribly worried about blowing people away with my cologne. Here's Basenotes on my favorite Bay Rum, since I'm not that great at describing frags. Pinaud Bay Rum is a good, inexpensive, more easily obtained option, that's still a fantastic AS. I'll go down the street to the store where I last picked up my Pinaud, and if they have a couplea' bottles, I'll send 'em your way, Rene & Sparticus. Give me a day or two!

I like Quorum. I suppose you could imageine Quorum smells like it has bay rum in it, but with about 6 other majore scents, including leather, bergamot, etc. And it would go well with a bay rum AS.

Ye, no rush Tony! Birthdays in June lol. This was the result of going for a wee look up town. All the same chemist. The bay rum is yummy, hair tonic but still. This is looking like the beginning of AD, there is 2 more bottles of Quorum on it way from the bay. Soooo much lurvly stuff to try
Oooh, Pashana (American?) Bay Rum! You'll have to let me know how it is! I went to one Walgreens today, no luck; I'll try a couple others before I split the (big ol') bottle I have. I -really- want you guys to have the whole thing. That Pashana is an 'aftershave/hair tonic' right? Mmm..
JoAnna knows best ! yup a kent refill. The Pashana "American" bay rum starts with a strong,very strong clove and Cinnamon, tried a little on my hair last night. Just says hair and scalp tonic. Seems like aftershave though. There is a freephone number to ring so it may well be worth an ask. It mellows out quite quickly and becomes pleasant. Other notes I haven't identified yet. If you like I can get you one and ship it. I work at UPS so it should be cheap to send.

I really like Quorum. I wore it in college in the early 90s, and I'm due to revisit it soon. It's definitely in the same category as Aramis or Pierre Cardin...old school manly.
