Shaved with a Derby! Interesting Results!

I am 47 and have never shaved with anything but a DE, or my old injector. my old bakelite injector has been my everyday razor for the last 20 years.
I have finally worn it out.

I have used all kinds of blades over the years, but I cant find even generic brands at the drugstore anymore.

in 30+ years of shaving, I have never had to cork a blade. even generic Walgreens blades would work for me. some blades, or course, were better than others, but all of them were better than the new derby blades I bought.

they were cheap, so maybe they are a counterfeit or knockoff?
the only other time I have ordered blades on the internet was 2 years ago, when I bought some injector blades in bulk. those were real Schick old stock, but maybe things have changed?

I guess I'm old school in that I've never used "modern" razors? but a noob as far as other things are considered.
there seems to be a wealth of knowledge here, and I hope to learn from you guys.

I have many questions to ask, but I will save them for future posts.
