You need to check out Jeff's awesome reviews of shaving creams here. Especially the Indian ones !! Jeff, I got 3 scents of th VI John shave creams from my local store. They are such a steal and packed with goodies like allantoin, vitamin E, lanolin. Truly Indian creams rock !!
I enjoy RSC for several reasons. You can find it at any rite-aid store, cheap $5 tube, variety of products, and it lathers like a mofo. Just a little goes a long way. I mix it with my vdh deluxe and get uberlather. Some folks say it smells artificial, but i think it smells great. They also sell a variety 4 pack of creams for like $12. It's made in England by Creighton's... They also make tobs, t&h, and trumper's. Here's another thread on RSC. http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=140660
I'm surprised that no one's mentioned Valobra yet. For about $12 you get a large "bar" (it's actually a paste) that lasts almost a year, it produces lots of dense, creamy later and it comes in almond or menthol. As someone else said, Kiss my Face. I find the Lavender and Shea butter superior to the others (it is richer, probably because of the shea butter) and cheap: if you do an online search you can find the 8 oz pump for $4.75.
I can't find the RSC stuff at our local Rite-Aid. Maybe I should head back over there and look again.
Go to their website and find a store. Their website sometimes has e-coupons, their latest $2 coupon already expired though. http://www.realshaving.com/
Wars is actually not a bad cream at all. My two recommendations would be Godrej and Erasmic for both being very good budget creams. I think that they both punch well above their weight.
Back here in S.A i use this one shave cream called Palmshave they have two flavours Lime and Regular and it cost under $6.00. i have send some to Tom and Bill and Teiste and Matt they all seem to like this cream.
I really want to stress on other Indian creams in the same league as Godrej. There is a fantastic bunch of goodness on the shelfs here !!
soaps and cremes and sticks ::lam I have 15 tubes of arko on the way and understand that it is a very high quality stick. It may be a lifetime supply.
