Statesville NC area need advice

    I am taking a road trip south next week from CT down to Jekyll Isl. Ga. I like to travel down I-81 then to I 77. I plan on stopping overnight near Statesville, NC, or within 20 miles there of. Can anyone advise of a nice place to stay overnight, in that general vicinity off I-77?

    Hey Jeff, I live about 30 minutes west of Statesville, a good hotel is the Marriot Courtyard Statesville in Moorsville/Lake Norman area off of 77, pretty good place last time I stayed. Their # is 704-768-2400

    Thanks for info, looks good. I think I will stop in at JR's while I am there.
