    Hot Shower

    Arko Shavestick
    '65 Slim-
    Perma-Sharp Super (day 3)
    Arko Maximum Comfort AS cream
    Arko maximum AS
    Arko Nem Soft Lotion (moisturizer)

In an effort to return to normalness, I made a 3 pass shave on #6 and got a very clean DFS...one hour later, not completely satisfied, wanted more, I relathered and did one WTG pass on #9, could hear just enough whiskers being cut to make my DFS a "Shiney" BBS...:)) (maybe a little excessive but, what can I say... face feels great...:))

    Friday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Wilkinson Sword day 2
    Palmolive Cool-SC :anifrozen :happy005 :love008
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Mennen Skin Bracer Original-AS

Although the weather here is miserable, I still could not resist the temptation to take a good face-freezing shave. I cannot say enough praises for this Palmolive Cool cream. The Mennen Skin Bracer aftershave provided the perfect closing chill. ;) :D

    Grandpa Shave Friday

    Hot Shower
    Glycerin Pre-shave
6/8" Boker Barber Tip (first shave with this razor)
    Semogue 2000
    Palmolive shavestick
    Corn Huskers Lotion
    Brut Splash

Pretty close to a BBS shave. If it's anything like the others though, this razor will improve exponentially after a few weeks of use and a touch up hone or two. This razor is interesting to me because it has the heft of a wedge but I seem to get a little feedback and while not as concave as my Red Injun 102, it certainly delivers a hollow ground-like shave but still feels a lot like a wedge in my hand.

1st time using a ball end tech. I'm liking it. Mighty fine shaver.

    Razor: Merkur Progress XL
    Blade: Super Iridium
    Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
    Cream: Arko Moist
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Speick Splash

An excellent, close but comfortable shave this morning. Arko cream always impresses me with its quality and bargain price. The Speick splash, as usual, was a fine finish.

I agree! I picked one up a few weeks back for $5 brand spankin' new. Only had a tiny bit of the shellac missing off the base of the ball exposing the gold. Awesome shaver. I'm glad you like yours too.

    Friday

Prep: Hot shower, hand strop blade, soak brush
Coffee: Home roasted Costa Rica Tarrazu, black (roasting some Kenya this weekend!)
    Soap: VDH Deluxe
    Brush: Mohawk 3-338
    Razor: Fat Handle Tech
    Blade: Dorco ST-301, day 5, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Brut ASB & Brut AS
    'Stache Wax: Wacky Tacky

    Shave rating: 4 Blades

I've had closer shaves, but this was a good one. I noticed the head on this Tech is a tad different than the head on my Ball End Tech. That may be why I got a better shave out of the Fat Handle Tech than what I get with the Ball End. The Ball End is just TOO mild for my taste.

As for my venture in using str8s, I'm saving up a few bucks. I want to send three of them out to Lynn for honing, and I need to get a strop. My birthday is in a few weeks, so I'll probably be able to get what I want then.

    Razor: 1930 Gillette New OC
    Blade: Dorco
    Soap: Classic Shaving Lilac
    Mug: Vintage Old Spice
    Brush: Omega Boar 81052
    ASB: Nivea Replenishing
    Aftershave: Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

BBS shave with the Gillette New this morning! Great shaving razor. ;) Haven't used a DE for over two weeks so thought I'd better get one out and blow the dust off of it. Used the Omega Boar I got from Scott (sb9091) this morning and I am really impressed! Thanks Scott! I have used the Burma Shave boars and some vintage boars but, this Omega is awesome! Soaked it last night and did a couple of practice lathers with it and noticed the smell wasn't very bad at all. This morning it proved to be quite the lathermeister and was amazingly soft on the first usage. With the Lilac shave soap the boar smell was virtually gone after the first shave. This Omega Boar didn't feel any more scritchy than some medium pure badger brushes and it's only the first use. This thing should really break-in nice! :D

Great shaves shown by all this week Gents! Thanks for sharing! :happy005

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Gillette SharpEdge (Yellow)
    Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Penhaligon's English Fern
    A/S: Penhaligon's English Fern
    EDT: Penhaligon's English Fern

Today was Top Shelf Friday. The Simfix Grosvenor teamed with the Penhaligon's English Fern to make the prettiest meringue like lather I have ever seen. I had enough lather for 4 passes plus touch-up and experienced a very enjoyable BBS shave. A splash of English Fern aftershave and a spritz of English Fern EDT was the perfect finish.
