Very Interesting Post, though I wonder why they would need it? Has to have a reason for obtaining information. Looks like the sheriff department is making this as it has to have it. What about if you don't have one? *many thoughts*....

The other reason could be the person doing the interview acted with power and asked without reason. That is how many accounts get hacked you know!... That just happend to a friend of mine on FB.

well i could have but if they looked and found me then i would be disqualified for the job for not being honest.

 

Working in a security related field, I have always been told that you should not even give up the password to your company computer (the tech guys can access what they need without it). This smells funny and I would very quickly walk out of the door.

...but if you have no other option, I would tell them that in this age of identity theft, that you would like to opt out of supplying that information.
