Unfortunately I have already purchased the razor above. For the $12 spent, including shipping, I didn't think I would be getting much. No big loss Maybe make a pretty letter opener.
Imagine what it takes to forge high carbon steel, the time it takes to grind a perfectly flat and even bevel into that hunk of steel, then the time to assemble with decent scales, pin, and QC that whole process, and think for a sec if 12 bucks would cover the cost of that process... errr...not even close. That's why most production razors today start at around 100 bucks and move drastically upward for more quality materials. Unless this was an antique and you got yourself a deal I'd say then congrads but because it's not that old adage of "you get what you pay for." fits cheers David

Just for clarification, some of those [1] lead to threads if the links were live... Some of those razors can be honed to shave ready, so if you already have them not all of them are total junk, some are on the list because of the price factor compared to say an entry level Dovo or even TI...Or the fact that the shave might not be so great, or the edge might not last that long... They are just not recommended BUYS However most on that list cannot be brought to a shaving edge at all, unfortunately the Master is one of those...
Still, it would make a fantastic letter opener as you said Wyatt. Might even be good for scraping old gasket off engine parts.
