When cleaning silver, I use something similar to what is described here. If you use a non-conductive pan (glass or ceramic) it seems to work better.
Soft Tech Razor Porn So I cleaned it. Also bought a sanitizer and will soak the razor in it. Will sanitize tomorrow. Few pics here.

That is very nice looking Tech. Even though it came with a crusty blade, I would say from these pics that it was used once or twice and put away.
Good Evening From Florida! A few weeks ago, I posted my Genuine Rattler Straight Razor in The Haul. I sent it to Glen / gssixgun TSD Board Member and Proprietor of GEMSTAR CUSTOMS to see if he could clean it up and hone it for my very first straight shave. Glen promptly PM'd me and let me know that The Rattler had been maintained for a great many of years on a barber's hone, and there really was not any steel left for him to do anything for it. So, I said to myself; "Self, this Glen guy is a really cool cat for being so up front with me." I mean seriously; he could have taken my $20.00 and tried to hone The Rattler and sent it back to me and I really would have been none the wiser. So I PM Glen back and thank him for letting me know there was nothing he could do for The Rattler, but did he have an entry level straight for sale? Yanno what Glen did? He said "Jeff, I tell you what, I have a very nice Torrey that I will GIVE you, all you have to do is pay $20.00 for honing and shipping." That is the razor in the picture; a barber's notched Torrey made in Worcester, Mass. WOW! I was prepared to pay $20.00 for honing and shipping The Rattler, and here Glen is just flat out GIVING me a shave ready razor for he same $20.00! WOW! Lemme just say; Glen, you are a straight up guy, a Man's, Man! Thank You Sir! It is folks like you and everyone else on TSD that I have met and chatted with that make TSD THE BEST WET SHAVE BOARD ON THE PLANET! As soon as my Illinois #827 strop gets here, I am gonna have my first straight shave with this razor. Thanks Glen!
Picked up a few bits n' bobs this week. My AD is for soaps and smells now. Yes that is a little bottle of Norfolk lavender. They say it takes a man to wear pink so...... The 3 bars of soap at the back are from Scotland, hoping it will clear up the last of my winter skin and use of will prevent it altogether next winter. I picked up the little bottle of Eau Sauvage the medi soap and the lavender in a junk shop. The Taylors of old bond street from connaught shaving along with the pucks of shave soap.
JoAnna is a Goddess Got my Shave Den Delivery today!!! I'm already contemplating making Iced stuff more iced. I wonder if 2-3 drops of Bomb really means 9-10 drops.
But I NEED MENTHOL, LOTS OF IT. I do menthol when I wake up, and sneak some Proraso pre/post before I go to bed. If I get cut off, I'll have some serious withdrawal. Ok, I'll start with 3 drops, I promise.

Just received this from Shaving Shack. Parker 91R DE razor with a puck of all natural hand made animal fat free Parker shaving soap (we'll see), tube of Erasmic Shaving Cream, two Erasmic shaving sticks (couldn't resist of buying them for 0.89 pounds a piece) and a couple of 7AM packs as freebies. P.S.: Jeff, I did not forget about you. I just can't get to the post office. Was too busy with my exams this week :/
