Hey guys, I'm 25, finishing up Law School, and trying to pick up a new hobby. I have a Dovo Shavette (those things are wicked hard to use) and a shiny new DE89 (which I've only used twice, but so far I love it.) I've never seen my father wet shave my entire life (he's addicted to electrics, which he sharpens once every few years by buying a new one...:happy102), so I had to teach myself how to use a Mach 3 (been wet shaving for about 3 years now) much less my SR or DE. So basically I know nothing. Currently I'm working on basic shaving technique, and I haven't even attempted looking into brushes/soaps, etc, but I think I'll start down that path as soon as I start finishing up some of my current shaving supplies.
Welcome to TSD, a great community of guys and gals that enjoy wetshaving. I hope you enjoy your stay! If you haven't seen it yet, head on over to the Shave School forum and take a look at the Master Sticky List at the top. There is a lot of great info for new wetshavers and links to Mantics wetshaving videos as well.
Welcome, welcome! Be sure to check this thread out: http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19518
Welcome to The Shave Den. As a newbie also, I found the biggest improvement to my shave was when the bush and soap arrived. I love my EJ87, but the lather makes the shave. Paul
