Got lazy today and decided to use the ol' Reminton 'lectric.

OMG! It pulled and tugged and basically just chewed on my face. It was like trying to use a str8 that had been breadknifed on a brick. Had to pull out the Lather Catcher.

Second pic. is the LC kickin' arse. :happy102

Simon it should by now be very obvious why all of us on these "wet shaving" forums are here. Looks like we are going to have to wean you of that electrical/mechanical device and give you some good (and maybe unsolicited) advise; throw that monster away! :D I'm told they will skip several times when properly thrown accross the surface of a quiet pond, lake of river. It's time it was allowed to "sleep with the fishes" ;)

One more outburst like that, young man, and we'll be forced to... to... to....

aw, heck, just don't let it happen again. ;)

Glad you did show signs of repentance with the LC. Nice choice! :happy088 :happy088

    Razor: DR Harris 3-Piece Razor
    Blade: Gillette Yellow
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Brush: Vie-Long 16510
    Cream: Cyril Salter Sublime Citrus

The Cyril Salter Sublime Citrus is the perfect summer cream and the Vie-Long 16510 is the ultimate cream brush. I enjoyed a luxurious BBS shave and the DR Harris Sandalwood provided an appropriate finish.

    65' Slim/7
    Dorco 301 (2)
    Ever Ready Boar
Home Made PreShave Oil + M-Bomb
    TSD Cool Water SS
    Osage Rub, Gillette Cool Wave
Dunkin Donuts Coffee, Americana + dash vanilla

5 Blades, 3+ passes. Followed a suggestion and tried 2 drops of M-Bomb in my preshave oil, which did 2 things. It not only added a nice menthol touch early in the shave, but precipitated an arctic blast when I added the Osage later. OH BABY! Words cannot describe! That was wonderfull!!

    Hot Shower
    Boker Red Injun #102
    Omega Boar Brush
    Speick shavestick
    Witch Hazel/Clubman AS
    CK Eternity

I'd never mug lathered a shavestick before but it seemed to work out very well. I started by crayoning the shavestick on my face as normal. I then loaded a damp brush directly off the shavestick and whipped up lather in my mug. I then took the brush to my already soaped down face and there was my first pass. The mug full of lather was floated in a sink full of hot water while I completed my first pass. There was ample warm lather for a second pass and finishing face wash. Very nice shave too. I normally sport Jovan Musk with Speick but just wasn't feeling it this morning so I just grabbed what felt good.

Damn, I love this Palmolive Menthol cream from Italy, because it smells so minty and nice, it lathers so rich and creamy, and the cooling effect is so powerful. The Osage Rub ain't exactly warm either! :happy102 ;) :D

    Happy Wednesday From Steamy Florida!

    Hot Shower
    Redneck Scuttle
    T.B.S. Synthetic Brush
    T&H Trafalgar SC
Lady Gillette Blue Star (SWMBO stole my Weishi, so I stole her Blue Star)
    Red IP (1)
    Cold Water Splash
    Witch Hazel
    Florida Water

    3 passes = DFS.

The T&H Trafalgar has a great scent and whipped up quick and slick and was very cushioning. I don't know that it is worth $18.00 for a little 2.6oz tube though.
