Why would you want to? The cheeks and sideburns are usually the least sensitive and easiest part to shave. My chest hair has migrated to my lower neck over the years and I use a cheap single foil once a week for that due to I can't get the hang of using a DE underhand for a south to north.
I was told that that's an old wives tale. Your DNA already knows how fast and thick that hair is going to grow, has since your birth...I also agree with the Crackstars advice...But if you have a hair growth condition that causes you pain or is out of control, you could consult a skin specialist, there are medicines that will slow down growth... Otherwise you have to play the cards you're dealt...At least thats my understanding...
+1 Shaving has absolutely nothing to do with the speed of growth or the thickness of individual hairs.
I would think it would be pretty hard to see back there unless you had a bunch of low mirrors or stood on a stool or something. An electric would probably be safer back there than a blade. Might be hard to sit down if done wrong Seriously. My neck is always a problem. To get a close shave there normally means I look like I used a cheese grater. In the past I used an electric on my neck until I got my technique down a bit better. I still bleed most times but it's a lot better than it was. It just takes lots of practice.
electric is expensive as hell for those blades, its more than the machine!! and it tends to pull ur hairs out sometimes, if u have thick hair those blades will go dull in no time. i only use it when im in a quicky to go somewhere
