Speick cream does not have tallow in it. The only creams that I know of that contain tallow are Olivia's and My Time Bath and Body.

 

Prairie Creations Blue Tallow Shave Cream. I was sent a sample of it but I have yet to try it.

 

Ooooh! I bet that would be quite soothing with an obsidian blade shave!

 

And even My Time Bath and Body is listed on her website as "Shaving cream soap", it's really a cross between the two.

Fantastic stuff though! If you are a menthol fan like myself, it's truly the only thing I've come across that rivals JoAnna's Iced SubZero for chill factor as she lets you dial in your menthol on a scale of 1 - 10.

 

I thought it had tallow maybe its the stick. either way speick cream is rich.

 

i believe tabac is tallow based, and mitchell's wool fat.

 

+1 Tabac Shave Cream comes ina tube and is tallow based.

 

I find the Tabac cream is not as good as the soap. It's ok, but the soap is way, way better.

 

other tallow based soaps = valobra, cella, dr harris, monsavon.

As of a year or so ago Colleen at The Gentleman's Quarter made a tallow based shave cream that was quite nice. Now I'm not sure if it is still tallow based, but she is very nice and sure to answer your query promptly. It is not however a cream like Proraso, but more like Cella (also tallow based) but softer than that. Hope that helps

 

Does anyone know if the new Coates is tallow based?

 

The Palmolive Shave stick is tallow based.

 

No its not, if you're a Coates fan the new owner is planning on releasing their old formulas.

It appears Lavender is probably going to be the next product they release going by the poll on SMF.

 

Lavender! Good stuff...me likey. Also, great news on the tallow. I just seem to get better shaves with it included.
