I got mine from user name rareup31 on Ebay. They are $14 for 100. Shipping for the first 100 is $7.50 and $2.50 for each 100 after that. I really like them.

The Gillette Swede, is no longer in production, you may find some on the Bay occasionally but they command a high price for a blade.

These blades are really excellent. I order sometimes the other marks (Astra, Iridium, Derby'...) but in the end, it is only by desire to vary.

They are here in France 1,70€ and the value for money is unbeatable. They are also cutting as the "Swedish" which I knew. The difference is that they are much less soft. For this reason, I use them in a slant razor: guaranty BBS

Sounds like I'm one of the few who aren't impressed by this blade. Plenty sharp, but a little rough to me. As we say, YMMV.

There are several packaging options for the Gillette Super Platinum blade. I have read that the "Swede" is not made in Sweden, that the addresses on the package refer to distribution centers, not production. Another theory is that Swedish steel has been used.

I know that, in my own collection, I have 4-5 versions of the Super Platinum. If blindfolded, I'd have to say that the "differences" are minimal (at best). They are ALL fine blades, though!

I have not tried both, but I have heard that the NOS ones are better. They definitely are a bunch cheaper right now.

Those are the NOS ones. They were made in 2000.

But not made in France since the French plant closed in 1990. Most likely in Gillette's plant in St Petersburg that also makes Astras, Iridiums, 7 O'Clock, Permasharp etc blades. The "Swedes" were most likely made there as well, from what I read. There's a thread currently running about the Bleues over on B&B where this has been discussed at length.

One of the French members there confirmed that new stock of Gillette Bleues currently on sale in France are from St Petersburg and packaged in cardboard.
