I know there's some talk on here about the Ted Pella SE's, but I notice that there are a couple of types of DE's on that site. I was wondering, has anybody ever tried a Ted Pella DE? One type looks like a carbon blue blade made by Feather, and the other is a PTFE coated stainless steel. The specs on the PTFE stainless, if I am reading them right, looks like the thickness of the edge is a bit smaller than the carbon, which I realize when you are talking about microns and mm's, that makes a significant difference. I was just wondering has anyone around here tried any of them and if so are they any good, or are they even suitable for shaving?
Never tried one of the DEs, but I have the PTFE (teflon) coated SEs from EMS http://www.emsdiasum.com/microscopy/products/preparation/blades.aspx Same thing that Pella carries...great shaving blade.
