that's where my knot was purchased from. very nice quality it hardly smells. actually I have only used it 3 times and I cannot smell the badger funk anymore. Highly recommended.

It has already been said, but I will say it again. I get my knots from Tony at thegoldennib.com and haven't had any problems.

Thank you. One more question if I may.....
Do you use any specific finish on the wood to make it waterproof?

I've tried MANY different finishes. Spar, Lacquer, Poly, etc.etc. ,, but I've been sold on a CA finish now.
I've done samples and absued them. This one works for me.

I must say I suspected that it is CA but I was not sure. Makes a lot of sense on knife handles too. Do you also use multiple layers?

Absolutely, and every square inch of it, exposed or not. Inside, outside, upside, downside,,

    Update

I have been using this brush for a while now. I have mostly used it with creams and very few soaps. I love how it lathers with the creams, it truly is a very well made brush. I cannot remember the last time I lost a hair on it. the handle is very comfortable to hold. and the finish is EXCELLENT. hopefully Mycarver is still willing to make brushes in the future.

Yes, I'm still here and turning out brushes! Working on a few right now besides some other things.
Glad to know you still love the brush. I have to admit, that one was really fun to make since it is not the typical brush.
Thanks for letting me do it.

Does this wood warp over time? (due to moisture buildup)

I doubt I will have any problems its pretty well sealed. and where the knot is attached is plastic.
