Don't know what it is, but I can't quite coax the great shaves out of my Ball End Tech that I do with the Fat Handle Tech.
You've got that right Ive been using that razor since my father gave it to me some 37 years ago and its still my absolute ,if I could have only one, for the rest of my life, razor,that would be the one. A question though,does the ball come off so a small styptic pencil go in there?I seem to remember it having what looked like a pencil lead in it when I got it and I think it was red?
Pretty sure the handle on a ball end tech is solid, it's the heaviest tech handle (pretty sure the fats are hollow). The old type ball ends come apart, but i didn't think that was a design feature (as most tubes are cracked). I have an elusive thin handle tech set coming in the mail, which should round off my tech collection nicely. Not sure on the handle weight of it, or if it's solid/hollow. :> Edit: Oh yes, and while i enjoy most of my techs (except my british alloy handles), the ball end is far and away my favourite.
