Hey All, As some of you know, I've got a small (but growing) little shave shop in my store here in OKC. I've been stocking some vintage DE's and SE's along with my beloved straights. I'm about to the point now, where I would like to carry some of the different DE blades in my shop to give folks a choice when they come in to shop. So the question is....What 3 types of blades would you stock? Thanks!!
From a business point of view: Derby, Feather, Astra SP From a personal point of view: Astra SP, Dorco ST-301, Shark
Brand/Selling Point Feather - Super sharp reputation Japanese manufactured. Astra Platinum - Popular choice, a touch below Feathers in sharpness, Russian manufactured. Personna Platinum Chrome - Milder blade choice, and for those customers that want "Made in the USA".
thanks for all the replies guys! I'm leaning towards the Astra SP's and Shark's for sure. I may just start there and then when I have the cash, order in a few others. The 7 O'clocks and the Iridium's will probably be the next in line. There is only one other small shop that carries wet shaving stuff to any extent. They are already carring feathers, so I would rather carry some of the other types and not compete with another small business if possible. Besides there are just sooooo many choices!
honestly it wouldn't surprise me. there is a russia, ohio; a dublin, ohio; a german town, ohio... the list goes on and on
