Interesting Find

    While working on my Den this afternoon, ripping up the baseboards I came across this...
    I should mention my house was built in the late 1800's

    No big deal, I know, just a gum wrapper.
    But it has been there since 1948.


    Did my research this is what I found...
    Year: 1948
    Manufacturer: O-Pee_Chee-London, Ontario
    Sub-Set: Gypsy Bubble Gum
    Type: Paper Wrapper
    Stated Cost: 1 Cent
    9b67d6fb92affe2f2a715fe809ca740e.jpg ...:happy102... and its from the town I was born in 14 years later.

    Very cool!

    My home was built in 1906. I ripped out a lath and plaster wall once, and found a pair of men's woolen trousers, ripped out at the knees, but nicely made. There were some short, fat matches in one of the pockets (vesta matches, for those in the know) - they still lit on the first strike. Strange what folks will leave in walls...
