Yesterdays shave with my Super Speed and a Perma-Sharp was super close and easy, but several hours later the bottom of the hair-line on my throat was lined with in-grown hairs and shave bumps :shocked003 Perhaps a bit too much skin-streching, which is'nt needed with this combo.
Today it was too tender to shave, but a situation has presented itself where I must shave...Enter the Ming-Shi...Great Shave...ZERO irritation...Problem solved...Thanks Ming Shi...:D

This was a fantastic shave. After two passes I saw no need for a third. Pound for pound I would rate this as probably my best razor. Seems like it will hold an edge forever with just preshave stropping.

Speick is definitely a cream which I need to use more often, because not only is the scent very nice, it lathers and protects my skin very, very well. The Wilkinson blade has reached the end of its usefullness, so tomorrow, it'll be a different blade brand. ;) :D

    T.B.S. Maca Root SC
    Schick Injector F
    Personna Blade (1)
    Cold Water Rag
    Clubman Draggon Noir
    Nivea ASB

    4 Passes = 4 Blade DFS.

I have to knock a blade off because while the Model F is a decent shaver, it is not as aggressive as I have come to like my shavers, AND I forgot to dunk the razor in alcohol after i used the metal polish on it, so I have a bit o' irritation from the metal polish residue. Ooops!

The all metal construction of the F is well balanced and easy to control, and it feels really nice in the hand. The head geometry is reminiscent of the Model L in terms of aggressiveness. The F does not really have a spring type mechanism like the more available Model G. Instead, the spring action comes from a copper plate that is riveted to the brass head and sort of acts in the reverse of the plate type spring found on the L.

All told, the F is a good shaver, but if someone were to ask me which Injector they should buy, I would point to the Model G. I have F, G, H, I, K, and L Injectors, and a Pal Adjustable and so far, the G is the best shave for me.

Should be back from a trip soon. One post from my iPhone. Here's what I've been using.

    Palmolive Shave Stick.

    Tweezerman brush.

    Parker 90R DE razor.

Merkur blades. I found an unfinished pack and decided to use it up.

And I've been getting decent shaves. Not quite up to injector standards, especially on the neck, but acceptable.

I've had this black-tip SS for probably over a year and a half and have only used it once or twice. Recently, I've been planning on selling it so I cleaned and polished it all up but I haven't gotten around to posting it for sale. So basically it's just been sitting on my desk looking all pretty and shiny and I just couldn't take it anymore, I had to use it. It's a really great razor, good weight and balance, I wonder why I often overlooked this great little shaver.

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Super Iridium
    Pre-shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Brush: Simpson Ehsan
    Cream/Soap: Klar Kabinett Soap
    A/S: Mr. Taylor

I received a shipment of Klar Kabinett soap yesterday and could not resist trying a sample. The Kabinett soap is an old world barbers soap but unlike the Italian Barbers soaps, it is a fairly hard soap. I rubbed the chunk of soap over my beard like a shave stick, face lathered with my Ehsan, and was rewarded with mounds of lather. Despite being a tallow free soap, the Kabinett soap produced a lather equal in creaminess to any tallow soap I have used. Color me very impressed! The soap has a fairly strong rose scent which I enjoyed throughout the shave. End result...a BBS irritation free shave. Who could ask for more?

Early start today, wife had therapy for her shoulder after surgery.
Long hot shower, which did not untie the knots of stiffness.
While I was showering my Parker Badger Brush was warming up.
Pre shaved with Johnson Baby Oil.
I choose Palomive Shave Cream, Gillette Fat Boy with a Shark blade.
Whipped up some awesome lather, shaved with a #6 setting for the first pass, dailed down to #5 for the second pass.
Splashed Aqua Vela afterwards, followed with Nivea shave balm. A dash of Aqua Vela musk.
    Great BBS.
