Hey guys, another newbie arrives on the scene.
I'm a shower shaver and I'm looking for a good mirror to use in the shower. I've had different kinds in the past and have never really been happy with them. I had the kind that attaches to the shower head and water flows through it to keep it fog-free. The problem with that was the water flowing out of the bottom of it was annoying and lessened the water pressure. Now I'm using a cheap mirror from Target that suction cups to the wall. It works okay but it fogs up from my breath if I get too close to it, and it seems like I'm always having to clean it. Any suggestions?

Shave at the sink, or shave by feel? I'm a sink shaver so I have very little to offer....

    Firstly, :signs046

I went to a glass store and got them to cut me a mirror about twice the size of a credit card..

I hold that in one hand and shave with the other in shower!

    Works great!

Smear some shave cream/soap on it rinse, and it says fog free for the shave!

I use a metal camping mirror, and just picked up a suction cup on the way home from the pub last night, wel see how that works out later.

But ANTIFOG...rub shampoo "with no contact with water" into the mirror until it's spotless then try it. Should actually last a few showers depending on the grade of shampoo.

That is exactly what I do...

    except.....

I can't get it to stay fog free even with the soap/rinse described above.

Plus, holding the mirror makes using your third hand to stretch your skin a bit awkward.

Try a few different soaps, I have no idea what about the soap makes this work but it does work. Just keep trying.
I actually find lather does a half way good job of it on my metal mirror...

If you still have some canned shaving foam gillette etc. left over, from before you knew the truth of wet shaving, rub that on the mirror. Supposedly will last a long time. When you rub it on use a towel or napkin or whatever. Also apply it when the mirror is dry. I got that from a T.V. program on PBS based on a book called Haley's Helpful Hints. I saw it work on PBS so it must be true. :)
