I found 2 Gillette DE safety razors at a garage sale today. The owners didn't know anything about them other than the fact that one of them (in the plastic case) had not been used.

    Gillette Razor #1:
    Patent #'s on the case: 2562115, 3050852, 3169314

    Gillette Razor #2:
    No patent info visible

I can't too much about these anywhere. Any experts here know what models they are? Are they any good?

(Will post images in next post. I only have 4 posts right now, needed to post it this way to get my 5th)

The 1st is a Knack and the 2nd is a Lady Gillette. Nice haul.

Both razors will shave like late Super Speeds. Both were made in the late 60's.

Razor #1 is a Knack, or Slim Twist, Razor #2 is a Lady Star. Both are nice shavers. Enjoy!

edit: I was beat to it :)

th first is called a gillette knack I believe. The other is a lady gillette blue, they also come in pink and champagne.

Yep, Knack and Lady Gillette. I can't tell what color the Lady Gillette is...it looks light blue, but the stars either have lost their paint, or they are champagne???

Thanks everyone for helping out! Do you know how/where to find the date code on these? I can't seem to find them on either one.

Rodd, great pic. One of my favorite episodes of Sunny!

Looks like there was Blue on there at one point, I can see it faintly on one or two of the stars.

The Knack has the date code under the blade guard.
Look for a letter just below and to the left where it says REG US and just below and to the right where it says PAT. OFF. there should be a number.

Mine says N2 which is the 2nd quarter of 1968.

The Lady Gillette has the codes in exactly the same place as the Knack. My light blue model is an O1 or 1st quarter of 1969.
