So, Jeff and I went to TBS in Tampa and the girl at the door says, "pick a coupon out of the bag" and see what you get to save. So I did, and we totally scored a Maca Root SC, and got one for FREE!! It was a good shopping day.
Got two tallow shaving soaps from Prairie Creations: Alpine Snowdrift for me and Bubble Gum for my spouse It's incredible. The Bubble Gum is so... bubble gum and pink that I'm struggling with myself to not to start chewing it. I could stop myself from lathering it, though. It lathers like no other soap I have owned so far. And to my surprise there was also Sweet Grass bath soap sample.
Very Nice! I have been looking at that seller. It is good to know the soaps lather well. Your RAB scuttle is perched very precariously though! Today I received a Penn Adjustable Single Edge complete with box, two extra blades and a strop. The adjustable part comes from a TTO mechanism in the bottom of the handle that changes the angle of the blade as it is tightened. Also is a Valet Auto Strop in a very ratty box. I think that the razor is all there. I can see how to open and close the razor, but not haw to remove the blade. I have to research both razors.
Not here yet, but I have ordered: Gillette Tech Razor Derby Blades Boar Brush Mama Bear Shaving Soaps (orange orange and all natural) TSD shave cream sampler (don't remember which ones!) So excited...:happy108

I've actually got a wee bit of a problem here...I had a massive influx of goods this week, and now I don't know what to use! As of last week, I had a 1960 SuperSpeed. As of yesteryday, I have: Yup. Just in today was an Ever-Ready SE courtesy of a PIF from Slivovitz Just in yesterday was my $2.61 eBay victory containing both brushes, the Rolls, the straight (Wilbert Cutlery?), and the beat up superspeed and silver O/C (Gillette...Old? New?). The gold Gillette New in the case I picked up at an antiques store. I don't know too much about these razors, some I could use help with I.D. if anyone's got 2 cents Rolls Imperial (so I'm told) Straight (it's chipped! worth fixing/possible? blade looks good otherwise) And just because, here's the whole shebang. Got my VDH boar soaking right now, trying not to give in to the temptation to shave with 8 razors! HELP!
I do. The Queen sent me a small sample bottle a while back. Convinced me I had to buy a bottle. She's such an enabler But that's why we love her! Looks like you're off and runnin' to a good start there ocharlas :happy088
Travel Compact Well just to give an idea of size thats a travel mouse around 3 inch, I do not know anything about this kit other than its made in England and look brand new so if and one has seen one before or knows anything about it then great
In yesterday's mail... TSD Shave Soaps: English Fern Lemon & Cedarwood Sandalwood TSD M Bomb Thanks JoAnna! Used the Lemon & Cedarwood this morning. The smell is absolutely fantastic. Super lather and shave, as well.
Nice haul. I've been considering the Lemon and Cedarwood for a while, and English Fern sounds delish.
Birthday Haul! Happy Saturday From Florida! BG asked me what I wanted to do today so I told her that I would like to hit the junk shops in Plant City for shave stuff. We went to a bunch of stores and several of them had quite a lot to choose from, including one shop that must have had 20 different straights, although the prices were around $20.00 each... There was one store that had a few Black Handle Adjustable's, and what I think is a Sheraton? it is a gold OC razor, but TTO... Anyway, here is our score: Brushes = Every Ready #89 and #100, and a Rubberset that looks like pewter with what I think is horse hair. The Ever Ready brushes will get re-knotted. The Rubberset has the longer handles that BG prefers. Razor = a Star SE. I guess this is either a mini lather-catcher, or similar to the Gem 1912? It has Patent 1912 on the handle. Snurdle dipper! Well, okay, it is a Brie knife, but I have re-purposed it to be a Snurdle dipper, It came with a matching pickle fork. Mugs = a Shulton Old Spice mug and a handmade art project thingy, it has "By Johnson" scrawled on the bottom. Then, we met up with Williams Warrior / Keith at the kruck-stop (yeah, kruck, not truck. It is an old trucker joke) and did some horse trading. I traded him 4 tubes of various cream for the Tabac. When BG and I got home, our TSD order was here waiting on us! Yay! TSD = Bacon! Soap! Polynesian Red Wheat Cream, D&G Light Blue Type ASM, Lemon and Cedarwood A/S and Gucci Por Homme Type A/S. Whatta day! Yay me!
Small Business Saturday Razor Haul Taking advantage of the American Express Small Business discount SWMBO and I hit the Antique Mall-one DE, one SE, and one Straight-that's a nice trio. A Gem 1912 in a nice case, a Clix, and a Wolfius Straight-never heard of it and have not been able to find out much about it but I love the logo etched into the blade.
