Hi all! kyhunter graciously directed me here as I couldn't find an intro page yesterday. I'm down Chattanooga way. 6+ months with a DE and am a happy camper thus far. Merkur 34C, VDH puck (cheap but I love it), Georgetown G5 scuttle, and VDH boar are my implements of whisker annilation thus far. Wife asks me "Why do you shave every day now?" Not sure that I could remotely succesfully convey how pleasurable the experience is now.... Anyway...Greetings!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Yes, as one person said it, I NEVER enjoyed shaving until I started using a DE, puck of soap, and a brush. It was always a chore, and though I've used a blade since my teens, there is something to be said about the "old school" techniques.

Shawna, Yes I've suggested it...LOL. She's still a little skeered of the potential for disaster. Perhaps someday though...
I was too! My legs I was ok with, although, the first couple months, I kept donking my ankles with the blade but learned real quick how to avoid that disaster. My underarms, well that took some guts, but I saw Jeff do it and well ... I just couldn't let him win ... so I decided, I HAD to do it if he was going to! Now, I have my own gear, my own blades, and my own shave cream. It's a great hobby we enjoy together, especially when we are trolling the antique shops, knocking each other out of the way to score the shave stuff!!
